About Visit Note Types
What are Visit Note Types?
Visit Note Types are categories of Visit Notes. Visit Note Types allow you to generate granular reports and filter lists to quickly locate an item.
Am I required to select a Visit Note Type for each Visit Note?
Yes, when you add a Visit Note for a client, you must also select a Visit Note Type.
How can I make it easier for employees to leave Visit Notes for clients?
Associate a Visit Note Type with a service to prompt employees to record Visit Notes. When a Visit Note Type is associated with a service, the Visit Notes window automatically displays as a pop-up window after you ring up the service. This prompts an employee to enter Visit Notes that can be referenced before or during the client's future appointments. Note the Business Information setting Prompt to enter visit notes upon completion of a transaction for services configured with a visit note type must be enabled for the pop-up window to appear.
What is a Private Visit Note Type?
When a Visit Note Type is marked Private, all Visit Notes of that type will only be viewable from Clients > Visit Notes. Private Visit Notes will never show up on reports.
You can control who can manage private notes via the Security Administration security keys under Data > Client > Visit Notes; these keys control the adding, editing, deleting, and viewing of Private Visit Notes.
Note: The Business Information option Show Visit Notes from ALL Locations on Work Ticket makes Private Visit Notes viewable across locations via the client profile, but only if the user has appropriate security to view those private notes. This option does not display Private Visit Notes on Work Tickets.
