About Location Maintenance
What is location maintenance?
Location maintenance allows a business to activate or deactivate a location, as well as control specific settings for that location. Any location that is already created can be edited.
What is the difference between my location Status and Subscription Status?
The location Status is simply the current open/close state of the location (Active, Closed, Closing Planned, Temporarily Closed). The Subscription Status is related to the location's Meevo subscription. Full Access Users can log into closed locations as long as the Subscription Status is Active.
What happens when I close a location?
When a location is closed:
- The location no longer appears in location searches.
- Client memberships, packages, gift cards, and all other liabilities are maintained in the system and can be redeemed at other locations (assuming Meevo settings allow for it).
- No appointments can be scheduled beyond the closing date, and employees cannot be scheduled.
- Automatic Billing Service, Client Appointment Notifications, Online Booking, and Online Walk-in Management are disabled. Employee Appointment Notifications are unaffected by location status.
- Only Full Access Users can access the location, and that is only if the location's Subscription Status is Active.
Note: If a location Status is closed and the Subscription Status is anything other than Active, then the location Status can only be changed by calling Millennium Systems International.
What happens when I temporarily close a location?
When a location is temporarily closed:
- Client memberships, packages, gift cards, and all other liabilities are maintained in the system and can be redeemed at other locations (assuming Meevo settings allow for it).
- Appointments can be scheduled beyond the scheduled reactivation date, but not before it.
- Automatic Billing Service, Client Appointment Notifications, Online Booking, and Online Walk-in Management are disabled. Employee Appointment Notifications are unaffected by location status.
- Only Full Access Users can access the location, and that is only if the location's Subscription Status is Active.
- Employees can be scheduled, but only for dates after the scheduled reactivation date.
What happens if the status is Closing Planned?
The Closing Planned status is applied automatically if the Termination Date is set to the future. When a location is in this status:
- The location remains active and operates normally until it closes.
- Appointments can be scheduled up to the closing date.
- Employees can be scheduled up to the closing date.
- Integrations and features restrict the user from performing actions (such as booking an appointment) for any date beyond the planned closing date.
