About Refunds and Voids

Note: MeevoPay users cannot reverse or void refunded transactions. Businesses using Worldpay or CardConnect do have the option to request a refund reversal (which acts as a same-day void).

How do I refund items in Meevo?

Refunds in Meevo can be executed by:

  1. Locating the client's completed transaction in the register's History Refund Mode and selecting the items to refund.
  2. Manually selecting items in the register's Manual Refund Mode. Using this method, you can select any items in the register, regardless of whether or not they appear in the client's purchase history.
  3. Locating the transaction in Transaction Editor or the client's Transaction History and selecting the register icon > Refund.
     

Where can I set up refund options in Meevo?

Refund options are in Business Preferences under the Register section.

Note: We always recommend reviewing your security settings in Security Administration to ensure that certain security keys aren't overriding the Business Preferences settings. For example, in Security Administration, the Register > Refund > Product > Override Days for Product Refund key will override the Products can be refunded within __ days of transaction setting in Business Information. To avoid this, override keys should be set to Deny or Hide.

Can purchases and refunds be on the same transaction?

Yes! Toggling between Refund mode and Sale mode at the register allows you to populate the Smart Receipt with the appropriate items, so a transaction can include purchases and refunds.
