Redeeming a Scratch Off Winner

How do clients redeem winning scratch-off gifts?

Winning scratch-off gifts are not integrated with Meevo. So, we highly recommend you require clients to redeem those vouchers inside your business and not over the phone, through text, etc. This allows you to view and verify the winning voucher. To have your business redeem the voucher in the Meevo register, we recommend creating one or more discounts in Meevo named Scratch Off Winner or something similar, and use discounts according to the gifts that can be won. For example, if your gifts are free services (free men's or women's haircut, free basic massage, etc.), then you would configure the discount as Percent Off and set the percentage to 100. In addition, if your discount's barcode matches the app's Coupon Code, you can scan the winning barcode to pull up the discount during redemption. 

After you apply the discount in the Meevo register, you can report on these discounts as you would any others. See Redeeming a Scratch Off Winner for details on the redemption process.

To redeem a scratch off winner

When a client arrives to the business to redeem a voucher:

  1. Verify the winning client:
  2. Go to Meevo > Integration > Salon Connect. A new browser tab opens on the setup page.
  3. Select Admin Settings.
  4. Select the Winners tab and ask the client to show you their winning scratch-off email. The code in the client's email should match the Unique Code in the table. As an added measure of security, you can scan the QR code in the client's email, which should match the Unique Code in the table.

  5. Next, in Meevo, ring up the client and apply the appropriate discount. You can scan the discount barcode (in the client's "You Won" email) to automatically bring up that discount in the Meevo register.
  6. When finished redeeming in Meevo, go back to the Scratch Off page Winners tab and select Redeem in the client's far right column.
  7. Verify that the redemption was moved to the Redeemed tab.

Note: You can select Unredeem to move the redemption back to the Winners tab.
