ADP RUN and WFN Frequently Asked Questions

RUN Powered by ADP (RUN) and ADP Workforce Now (WFN) are ADP platforms that seamlessly integrate with Meevo. These integrations allow you to efficiently upload payroll data right from Meevo into RUN or WFN, eliminating the need to manually enter time sheet data prior to processing payroll!

  • To use either of these ADP Integrations, you must have an active account in the RUN or WFN platform, and within that platform you must complete at least one full payroll period with ADP.
  • ADP RUN is a platform designed for single locations, usually with 50 employees or less.
  • ADP WFN is a platform designed for multi-locations and in some cases, larger single locations.

How do the ADP integrations work?

Payroll is calculated, maintained, and updated in Meevo. Within the Meevo payroll screen is the Submit to ADP button, which immediately sends the selected Meevo payroll data to RUN or WFN. This is the only data sent to an ADP platform by Meevo. Payroll data is never sent from ADP to Meevo.

Multi-locations using the Workforce Now integration have the ability to connect multiple Meevo locations to Workforce Now. In this scenario, each location submits payroll to ADP individually, and employees are only paid out at their Home Location in Meevo.

Can I use both of those integrations in Meevo?

Meevo offers the ability to use both integrations, but they can't be active in Meevo at the same time. In other words, the Enable... checkbox can only be selected in one of the integrations at a given time. Also note:

  • Configured settings are not carried over between integrations.
  • If switching from one ADP integration to another, you will still need to complete one payroll period before you can use the new integration.

How do I add an ADP integration to Meevo?

  1. On the Meevo side of things, the RUN or WFN integration can be added to Meevo for free by going to the MeevoXchange and selecting the appropriate tile under Integrations
  2. The Meevo Connector for RUN Powered by ADP and the Meevo Connector for ADP Workforce Now must be purchased from the ADP Marketplace. You'll need the appropriate Connector based on the ADP platform you are currently using.

Important: You must complete at least one full payroll period in RUN or WFN before you can purchase the Connector. If you are a new customer of either platform, ADP will assist you with their initial payroll setup. ADP will make the Connector available to purchase in the ADP Marketplace after at least one payroll period is completed. Existing customers of RUN or WFN who have already completed at least one payroll period in the platform can purchase the Connector immediately. If you cannot purchase the Connector in the ADP Marketplace for any reason, please contact ADP for assistance.

What is the Meevo Connector?

The Meevo Connector quietly bridges communication between Meevo and RUN or WFN, allowing you to seamlessly and securely upload payroll data from Meevo into your ADP platform. The Connector is not a separate application that you need to worry about; it is a component that runs "under the hood" of Meevo.

You can view your Meevo Connector details and subscription status in the ADP Settings screen in Meevo, and you can perform actions related to your subscription from the My Apps section of the ADP Marketplace.

How do I set up this integration in Meevo?

Important: To ensure data is synced without issues, make sure that there is a Pay Frequency configured in ADP for every payroll frequency you're sending from Meevo. So, if you set up two payroll frequencies in Meevo – bi-weekly for wages/service commission and monthly for retail commission, for example – you'll need two equivalent Pay Frequencies set up in ADP. A Meevo payroll that doesn't have an equivalent Pay Frequency in RUN/WFN will fail to send and display an "object" error.

Someone from our Meevo Business Support team will be reaching out to assist you with setup. The overall steps are outlined below.

  1. Connect Meevo to RUN Powered by ADP or ADP Workforce Now.
  2. Employee and earning code data are then pulled from the ADP platform into Meevo, so you can map your employees and map your Meevo wages to RUN earning codes.
  3. Finally, enable the integration to reveal a new Submit to ADP button in your Meevo Payroll screen.
  4. Submit payroll to ADP from your Meevo Payroll screen!
